Volunteer & Employment

We are looking for motivated people who would like to make a difference in Nanaimo by joining our dedicated group of workers in the following areas.

We have 2 Thrift Stores:
6750 North Island Hwy (Beside Costco) – Contact: Ursula Matthews (250-390-1881)
1613 Bowen Road (Old Yamaha Building) – Contact: Spence Dillabough (250-754-9340)

Our Thrift Stores raise funds to help run our Community Services Programs at 19 Nicol St., Nanaimo BC.

All funds raised in Nanaimo, stay in Nanaimo.

 

We Need Volunteers in the Following Areas:

Stores:
Electronics – cleaning and testing
Small appliances and lamps – cleaning and testing
Helping on our truck – requires lifting

Sorting:
Clothing
Linens
Kids Clothing
Sporting Goods
Shoes
Purses

 

At 19 Nicol St., The New Hope Centre volunteers are needed in the:

Kitchen – Contact Silvia (250-754-2621)
Dishpit
Front line serving clients
Food preparation
Cleaning
Shelf organization

Community Services – Contact: Eric or  Lynwood (250-754-2621)
Sorting dry goods
Building Hampers
